The Prize on Modern Heritage is an initiative of the European project HERSUS – Enhancing of Heritage Awareness and Sustainability of Built Environment in Architectural and Urban Design, developed within Erasmus+ European Program by a Consortium of five European universities: Belgrade, Serbia, as lead organisation; IUAV di Venezia, Italy; Cyprus, Cyprus; Aristotelio Panepistimio Thessalonikis, Greece; Sevilla, Spain. This latter will host the Prize at its School of Architecture, in the context of the UNESCO Chair on Built Urban heritage in the digital era CREhAR (Creative Research and Education on heritage Assessment and Regeneration).
PRIZE CATEGORIES
1. Education – Students
Master Diploma Projects or Thesis developed in the framework of Master level study programs in the field of Architectural and Urban Design at Higher Education Institutions.
2. Education – Instructors
Innovative Teaching and Pedagogical Practices implemented as curricular activities with ECTS recognition at Higher Education Institutions, located within the geographical scope of the Council of Europe
3. Practice
Built Projects dealing with with Modern Heritage (19th – 20th Century), located within the geographical scope of the Council of Europe*, completed between 2018 and 2022.
4. Research Honorary Award
Individual researchers or research institution that developed his/her work from a state member of the Council of Europe*, and have within the scope of Modern Heritage.
